Getting along with each other

Common Behavioural... Challenges

Owning your own space means maintaining a protective bubble around you or places in your home. It is a space where you are in charge and in control of what happens within it. I can help you to practice maintaining this protected space between you and your pet so that they get used to respecting it and respecting you. Once you own your space, then you begin to own your home again!

As a dog owner you need to learn to own your own space. This is a great tool for personal growth - for your pet and for your life!

Dogs Jumping up on People

Pulling on the lead is a sign of your dog being way too excited for a walk. Make sure your dog is in a calm, relaxed state of mind before you even leave the front door.

Being too excited can lead to all kinds of problems in dogs. From aggression, to excessive urinating/marking, anxiety and not being accepted by other dogs (or people!). It is important if your dog is prone to high energy, that you really practice being in a calm state around them. Take your time with activities like the walk to achieve the results you desire. I highly recommend taking your dog everywhere with you, the stimulation (if they are in a calm state) will wear them right out.

Other dog problems that we commonly experience and work with (but are not exclusive to) are:

Obsessions, aggression (towards other dogs, people, pets etc) lunging, excessive barking, dogs in the same home fighting, running away, separation anxiety, fear of water, fear in general, chewing/destroying the house, not getting on with the cat... etc etc

I would love to hear any concerns you are having with your pet, please feel free to message me now.
